This stage of the Wicklow Way climbs out of Enniskerry through Crone Wood, high above the Glensoulan valley with superb views of Powerscourt Waterfall — Ireland's highest — before crossing the shoulder of Djouce and following the famous boardwalk over White Hill.
The J.B. Malone memorial above Lough Tay marks perhaps the most photographed view in Wicklow. From there the trail descends by forest track and quiet road to Roundwood, which claims the title of Ireland's highest village.
