The Kerry Cliffs near Portmagee rise over 300 metres from the Atlantic and are often called the most spectacular cliffs in Kerry. A short, well-made path climbs from the entrance to a pair of viewing points perched dramatically above the sea.
The panorama takes in the Skellig Islands — jagged on the horizon — and Puffin Island's seabird colonies. This is a privately owned site with a small entrance fee; the walk itself is short, but the setting invites a long linger. Take great care near the unfenced cliff edges.
