The cliffs of Slieve League fall nearly 600m into the Atlantic — close to three times the height of the Cliffs of Moher — and the old Pilgrim's Path climbs from Teelin toward the summit ridge, site of an early Christian pilgrimage. The path passes the famous viewpoints above Bunglass, where the cliff face glows amber and rust in low sun.
Beyond the main viewpoints the route roughens toward One Man's Pass and the summit, a section for sure-footed walkers in good weather only. Even the lower path delivers cliff scenery unmatched almost anywhere in Europe.
