Mount Leinster Loop Walk

Mount Leinster (795m) dominates the Blackstairs range on the Carlow–Wexford border, its summit marked by a tall television transmitter. This loop from the Nine Stones viewpoint area uses the summit access road and open hillside paths to make a satisfying circuit.

The Nine Stones car park is a famous viewpoint in its own right, and hang-gliders and paragliders often launch from these slopes. The summit road makes the climb straightforward, though it's a steady, exposed pull — on a clear day you can see five counties.
